    To request a room at HRTC please follow these directions:

    Updated directions:

    1) Confirm room availability:
    Open OWA (Outlook) and look inside Public Folders
    ...
    2) Email me with request if the room is available and provide the following.

    3) Note there is no staff or support at the locationThe custodian will let you in on the day of the event. If you have not been to the space, you may want to go prior to familiarize yourself with the space.

    You got it all covered except I don’t see HRTC on the list. Lisa Nielsen would have the contact for that. That used to be Richard Schultz’s Region 10 space.
    My space at Rockaway is small – and you’re welcome to it when available.
    Would love to know when you’re starting those up. Glad to see hear that you’ll bring some cohesion and community to the group.

    We are starting to meet the School technology SPOCs monthly in different boroughs.
    Would you know of any space available that could accommodate 50-60 people during a weekday?
    The attached list has the Central offices I am aware of and a few vendors that could/would accommodate depending on schedules.

    Complete Room Request Form
    Once you have looked at the calendar and determined a date, select the room request link which brings you to an application that includes the following questions:
    Department Hosting Event

    Email of Onsite Contact (@schools.nyc.gov)
    Cell or Blackberry number of Onsite Contact
    How many days is your training activity?
    Who is your audience?

    Description of Activity
    Protraxx Activity Code (If applicable)

    Number of Participants
    Will participants need a device?
    If participants need a device what platform?
    Please indicate any specific equipment requests?
    Do
    3) Note there is no staff or support at the locationThe custodian will let you require a space for catering?
    Are
    in on the day of the event. There is no tech support or onsite support. If you familiar with howhave not been to use equipment necessary to run a training at the site and havespace, you tested that all online resources are available?
    If no, when will you be available
    may want to comego prior to familiarize yourself with the site for equipment overview and/or equipment overview? (Please providespace. You can look at least two dates.)
    Email Follow Up
    After completing
    the room request form, please email Lisa Nielsen and Carolyn Semet (lnielsen@schools.nyc.gov; csemet@schools.nyc.gov)calendar to indicate your room request. Your request specifications will be reviewed andsee when no one is in the space so you will be placed on the site calendar. The room requester will receive an email confirmation indicatingnot disturb another group.
    4) Please leave
    the room exactly how you found it.There is confirmed and booked. If you will not be showingno one to clean up for an event, please email lnielsen@schools.nyc.gov; csemet@schools.nyc.gov to indicate room cancellation.after your group. DO NOT TOUCH ANY WIRES OR MOVE EQUIPMENT.
